About the Youth Empowerment Program
In a world where data is invaluable, ensuring Nigerian youths are educated about privacy and security at every stage is paramount. The youth empowerment program seeks to improve the level of awareness for Data Protection and Privacy in Nigerian schools.
In 2023, the Commission embarked on the adoption of a school program where various schools across Nigeria were visited to educate their students about Data Protection and Privacy. This year, the event would focus on students from Nigeria Tertiary Institutions.
Selected Institutions will be contacted and the NDPC team will create an execution plan for all the trainers to visit the schools for the youth empowerment program.
The objective of the Youth Empowerment Program
1. Increased awareness, advocacy, and youth understanding of data protection and privacy.
2. Increased youth employability in the data protection/privacy ecosystem.
3. Increased public-private partnerships.
Why should Data Protection Compliance Organizations participate (DPCOs) Participate?
